Basics of mechatronics 1

Course Information

The subjets offers an introduction to mechatronics. The main topics are the following: description of mechatronic systems. Main components of the mechatronic system. Signals and their condition. Operational amplifier circuits. Examples for open and closed loop control of mechatronic systems. Properties of sensors: sensitivity, resolution, errors, rated outputs. Strain gauge measurement. Wheatstone bridge. Linearization of nonlinear functions in the operational point, Taylor-series expansion. Linear correlation calculation. Traditional and new type actuators. Drive system components of mechatronic systems. Efficiency, gear ratio, steady state speed of the system.
